Chemistry Graduate Open Day

The Chemistry Graduate Open Day took place on 11th November. It was great to see so much interest from prospective students.

The day started off with ‘Introduction and Welcome’ by Prof Chris Schofield (Head of Organic Chemistry). SBM Director Prof Darren Dixon discussed exciting research in Organic Chemistry currently underway in the Department, followed by a great overview of SBM CDT by Director Prof Martin Smith.

Prospective students then had the opportunity to learn more about individual research groups during the poster session, including interacting with current researchers. SBM students from the first cohort were also available to answer any questions.

Overall, it was a great day and a fantastic opportunity to learn more about SBM and current research in Organic Chemistry and Chemical Biology in the Department.
