SBM CDT Launch Event
07 Oct 2014
The launch of the new EPSRC CDT in Synthesis for Biology & Medicine that took place on 6th October 2014 brought Oxford Chemistry academics and industrial partners together to celebrate this outstanding collaboration.
The agenda included an afternoon symposium with excellent presentations from key Oxford Chemistry researchers, followed by a drinks reception in the Department of Chemistry and dinner at Hertford College. This was overall a very successful event, with high praise from the Vice-Chancellor Prof Andrew Hamilton and the Head of Department Prof Tim Softley.
At this event we also celebrated a major upgrade to the Department’s core analytical instrumentation through a £1.3M grant from the EPSRC Core Capability for Chemistry Research call.
